- Always on the top of our list, Fernkloof Nature Reserve – Save your picnic basket in the boot of your car while enjoying a hike on one of many mountain trails. Enjoy your picnic in the exquisite garden area. Please do not litter.
- A Beach Hike from Voelklip to Grotto Beach – Most holidaymakers only know of Voelklip and Grotto Beach as two separate beaches a few kilometers apart but did you know that you can walk all the way through from one beach to the other? Discover treasures of secluded beaches and hidden coves known by few. Stick to the walking paths and stay hydrated.
- A Cliff path Hike from the Old Harbor to the New Harbor – One of our favorites is the cliff path walk all the way from the Old Harbor in town along the cliff paths to the New Harbor where once arrived, a seafood lunch is the order of the day. Call for a Taxi or Shuttle back to town.
- A Sunset Ice Cream Walk at the Waterfront – Nothing beats a good ice-cream while enjoying magnificent sunset views from the podium at the waterfront. End the evening with a good coffee at one of the cafe’s.
- Hit the beach!! – Still the No 1 activity in Hermanus when the weather plays along. Grotto, Voelklip and Onrus beach are our most popular swimming, tanning and surfing beaches in Hermanus. Arrive early for parking and don’t forget the cooler box. Please remember that not all beaches are pet friendly for dogs off leash.
