Alison Coetzee obtained her Bachelor of Communication Pathology specializing in Audiology at the University of Pretoria. Her working career started in the government sector where she gained experience dealing with various hearing impairments and fitting a wide variety of hearing devices. During her time spent in the public sector she also obtained her Master’s degree with honors from the University of Witwatersrand, specializing in vestibular (balance) impairments. After completing her degree, Alison started working in the private sector from 2016. She is now the owner of her own private practice overseeing various auditory impairments. She remains passionate about research and believes that each patient, their test results, and their hearing needs are unique; and there is no “one size fits all” approach.
