Hermanus Botanical Society was formed in 1960 and has its headquarters at the Botanical Centre in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve in Hermanus.  The Society has a mandate to protect the flora and fauna of the Reserve and is heavily involved in educating people on the need for conservation.
